Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovaçăo (SPI) is a partner in the Erasmus+ Project “iFEMPOWER: Interactive and mentorship based FEMale emPOWERment in the field of entrepreneurship” and attended the 2nd transnational meeting, which was held on the 20th and 21st March 2019 in Bifröst, Iceland, hosted by Bifröst University. The main aim of the meeting was to discuss the first half year’s project achievements as well as upcoming steps within the partnership.
The first day of the meeting was opened with the welcoming speech from Sigrún Jónsdóttir, Director of Academic Services of Bifröst University. It was followed by a project overview and discussion led by the coordinator of the project, HÉTFA. Since the project kick-off in September 2018, an in-depth research was carried out focusing on female entrepreneurs in each partner country (Austria, Germany, Hungary, Iceland, Portugal, Romania and Spain). The prepared research report is based on personal interviews and focus groups. The main results were presented at the meeting by the output leader, Réka Geambasu, senior research fellow of HÉTFA.
The two-semester-long module will be offered at partner universities in the academic year 2019/20. Students enrolling in the course will also benefit from the mentorship of successful female entrepreneurs and will have the chance to participate in international summer and winter schools.
Ifempower faces the next important milestone in September in Seville, where, among others, a multiplier event will be organized to present and disseminate the project to stakeholders. The event will also provide platform to initiate stakeholders’ engagement through workshops launching discussion on the developed materials, including the research report, the international curriculum and the teaching material. Stay tuned if you are interested!
SPI, represented by Martha Octavia, from SPI International Team, attended the meeting and presented the updates on the communication strategy of ifempower.
