SPI fosters the EU-China S&T Collaboration
30 April 2012
SPI is involved in a new FP7 project funded by the European Commission DG Research and Innovation: DRAGON STAR (Sustaining Technology And Research) – Bilat with China. The consortium is composed by partners from China and Macau, and from Europe (Portugal, Italy, Germany, Greece, Switzerland), promoting the bilateral dialogue and networking.
The Chinese Science and Technology (S&T) and Innovation system is developing extremely fast and dynamically, and China has become a major new actor in the global system for the production of knowledge. The Sino-European cooperation in S&T shows growing dynamism, although there is still work to be done in terms of the reciprocity in the bilateral cooperation.
Taking into account the rapidly increasing role of China in the global research environment, the project Dragon Star Bilat China will support and strengthen the Sino-European scientific cooperation.
