24 April 2012
SPI is the Portuguese partner in the new project SEA-EU-NET 2, funded by the European Commission (DG Research and Innovation) under FP7, which aims to strengthen the Europe-Southeast Asia cooperation on Science and Technology (S&T) through coordination and support actions.
The consortium will benefit from the networking and cooperation between European and Southeast Asian partners, mainly from Thailand, Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, and Laos. SPI will have privileged access to interesting partners such as scientific institutions, governmental entities and the private sector within the region of Southeast Asia.
SEA-EU-NET 2 will serve as a platform for all stakeholders across governments, funders, practitioners, and the private sector, to ensure a complete and integrated approach to developing sustainable collaboration with the purpose of jointly tackling three societal challenges: Health, Food security and safety, and Water management.
