Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação (SPI – www.spieurope.eu) organised and hosted in Porto, on 22-23 January 2019, the final meeting of the EXCITING (EU-China Study on IoT and 5G) project.
Over the course of two days, the partners analysed the work and activities carried out during the project. They discussed the various activities and results achieved in relation to standardization, interoperability and the implementation of large-scale trials, always focusing on cooperation between Europe and China. On January 22, the partners dedicated part of the meeting to a webinar on technical and political perspectives between Europe and China.
In addition to SPI, the meeting was attended by Martel Innovate (Switzerland), InterInnov (France), InnoTSD (France), University of Luxembourg (Luxemburg), Mandat International (Switzerland) and University of Surrey (UK).
The EXCTING project (https://euchina-iot5g.eu/) is a coordination and support action funded by the European Commission under the Horizon 2020 Programme and by the Chinese and Swiss governments. The consortium is made up of 14 partners, including European and Chinese organisations. The project started in November 2016 and ends in January 2019.
