Sociedade Portuguesa de Inovação participated on the 18th of May in an event focused on the thematic of social acceptance of innovation, within the framework of the TR@NSENER project "European Cooperation Network on Energy Transition in Electricity" of the INTERREG SUDOE programme. The event counted with more than 30 people and aimed at discussing the main changes that should be implemented within companies, society and policy makers, in order to promote innovation and entrepreneurship. SPI was invited by the Technological Corporation of Andalusia (CTA) to present the innovation ecosystem in Portugal. The TR@NSENER project aims to mobilize the regions in favor of the energy transition allowing the creation of a new SUDOE energy model.
Within this context, SPI was responsible for developing a presentation on the innovation ecosystem in Portugal, focusing on the main aspects related to the European context of innovation systems, the evolution of the Portuguese ecosystem for the last 30 years and the characteristics of the country’s main funding agencies. After the presentation, the participants discussed the main differences between innovation systems in the SUDOE region (Portugal, Spain and France).
