On the past 22nd to 25th September, SPI participated in the 32nd IASP World Conference, which took place in Beijing, China. The conference aimed to bring together experts from STPs (Science and Technology Parks) and other AIs (areas of innovation), technology-based incubators, academia, the public sector and business to discuss and debate in depth the trends in STPs and other areas of innovation as increasingly complex structures for professional innovation support.
SPI made a presentation entitled “Communities Shaping the Future of Science and Technology Parks (STP): User-Centered Approaches as the Cornerstone for Technology and Industry Development”. SPI presented the scenario of STP, including the changing trends and key aspects, Living Labs and the practice in China. It has also presented two projects funded by the European Commission: DragonStar Plus (Horizon 2020) and CHOICE (FP7) in which SPI is involved.
