19 March 2014
SPI had the pleasure to co-organize the last 6th March a high level dissemination event for the MASCOT - project in Santiago, Chile.
The event intended to showcase MASCOT project results concerning the last 2 years work on Maternal and Child Health Inequalities in Europe, Africa and Latin America, namely where we stand and proposing and implementing strategies to tackle this issue.
SPI as the project dissemination partner co-organized this event with local partner USCS. The event counted with several high level speakers including the Chilean Health Minister elect Helia Molina (now in office), the Assistant Director to the Pan-American Health Organization Francisco Becerra and the MASCOT project coordinator Danny Edwards.
The event had a tremendous mediatic impact having been exposed to the main TV channels in Chile as well as the major newspapers (additional information below).
Following the event SPI participated in the final project meeting along all MASCOT partners in Santiago, to prepare the final steps of the project.
MASCOT stands for Multilateral Association for Studying Health Inequalities and Enhancing North-South And South-South Cooperation and is an European Union co-funded project under the 7th Framework Programme and ends in March 2014.
